Contact Us

St. Clair County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, retrieve an official booking record, or correct an agency file. Those questions must go to the public body that created or maintains the record.

Official St. Clair Contacts

The current county contact path is the Sheriff’s Contact Us page. It lists the jail information route and the Sheriff’s non-emergency line. The county’s public pages do not publish separate records-counter hours for booking-photo requests, so call before visiting.

Which Office Should You Call?

Choose the record custodian that matches the question. This service can point to the route, but only the public office can answer the underlying request.

  • Current county custody: use the Corrections page and its hosted inmate search, then call the jail for a time-sensitive custody or bond question.
  • Older booking record or photo: submit a narrow Sheriff FOIA request with the person, agency, and date range. Ask for an existing photo only if maintained and releasable.
  • Belleville incident: use the Belleville Police records route; the city and county may hold different records.
  • O’Fallon incident: use the O’Fallon Records Division and its city FOIA route. The published report fees are not a booking-photo guarantee.
  • Cahokia Heights incident: contact the Police Department or the City Clerk, who is identified as the city records and FOIA officer. Include Cahokia, Alorton, or Centreville when a pre-merger date is involved.
  • Court result: use the Circuit Clerk and Court Record Search. Dates can be continued or reset.
  • Other custody: use the IDOC search for state custody, BOP for federal custody, and ICE for current immigration detention.

Safety and Warrant Questions

No verified St. Clair County public warrant portal or current county Most Wanted page was found in the audit. The Wanted Fugitives page explains the official-contact fallback. The Sheriff’s documented 24-hour drug hotline is 1-800-640-3463, but it is not a general warrant line.

Call 911 for immediate danger. Do not approach, follow, or try to arrest anyone because of a roster entry, news story, social post, or name in a search result.
